Deborah Bergman came to fine arts digital photography with a foundation of being an author, teacher, digital radio artist, and fiber artist. She thrives in the tension between words and pixels. Deborah comes from the New York area, has been based in Portland, Oregon since 1995, and lived in Spain in the la movida period of the early 1980's and then again in the '00s  She has also taught in Europe, Russia, and Ukraine. Among other things, she has been an unintentional observer at various transitions and from various perspectives in power. This often translates into a love of movement and flow in imagery, and a hi-lo perspective. Awareness practices also inform her work.
